The Master Plan for Greenways of Oldham County was initiated in July, 2007.  The 168 page plan was completed in January 2008 and approved in March 2008.  This plan was a joint effort between Greenways of Oldham County, Fiscal Court, the cities of LaGrange & Crestwood, Oldham County Parks & Recreation, Oldham County Planning & Development, Oldham County Board of Education and consultants from Brandstetter Carroll and Environs.

Input for this Master Plan came from the following groups, meetings and initiatives:

• The Greenways Summit held in Sept 2007---25 greenways and trails advocacy groups who were all very passionate about the potential of greenways and trails throughout Oldham County.
  

• An Oldham County Parks & Recreation Community Attitude & Interest Survey.   This survey showed that trails and linear parks were “very important” or  “somewhat important” to more than 87% of households surveyed.
  
  
• Stakeholder & Steering Committee meetings and public workshops.
  
  
• Oldham County Day 2007 Public Survey

We believe that the Master Plan effort has helped to guide us to our current completed projects and paves the road for all our future endeavors.
